Bob Marley's 1977 reggae anthem uses just three chords (A, D, E) with a laid-back upstroke strumming pattern that captures the essence of island music. The song's positive message and simple chord changes make it one of the easiest and most enjoyable songs to learn on guitar. Focus on the reggae "skank" by muting on the downbeat and strumming on the upbeat.
